Authored by Dr Helena Boschi for Lansons Available at £14.99 wherever books and ebooks are sold (delivery 2 weeks)
Originally self-published in collaboration with author, Dr. Helena Boschi, a psychologist specialising in applied neuroscience, the latest edition is published globally by renowned publisher Wiley with new content providing insight into neuroscience, brain-gut health and behaviours relating to the impact of COVID-19.
Why We Do What We Do combines scientific research with concrete examples and illustrative stories to clarify, in an easy-to-understand way, the complex mechanisms of the human brain and how it affects our behaviour every day.
A wide range of topics are examined, unveiling different facets of the brain with practical tips and ideas for understanding our behaviour, physical and mental health, communication and decision-making.
We've partnered with Helena to launch Neurocomms, an enhanced communications offering which applies neuroscience to communications strategies for Lansons Change & Transformation Communications services, facilitating the application of key messages contained in the book. Through an understanding of the human brain and the science behind what we do, Lansons can enable organisations to create the right communication strategies to make people feel respected and engaged.
Her particular areas of interest include the brain and behaviour, our emotional and rational neural networks and how to improve our cognitive abilities in order to get the best out of our own and others’ brainpower. Helena has investigated the impact of chronic, work-induced stress on brain function and has published a book called ‘Why we do what we do’.
Helena has spent the last 25 years working closely with businesses to define and design new initiatives, particularly in the areas of organisational behaviour.
