Sarah oversees the investment of billions into the UK economy.

A major name in financial services, Sarah Bates has worked with some of the industry's biggest names including as Chair of St James's Place, Chair of John Lewis Partnership Trust and the Universities Superannuation Scheme Investment Management. Sarah now holds senior positions including Senior Independent Director for Alliance Trust and is a member of the BBC Pensions Scheme Investment Committee.

Sarah’s extensive experience in the financial services sector provides our clients with real-time expert counsel on everything from reputation to diversity and inclusion.

Sarah began her career in the 80s as an analyst before moving to investment manager Invesco, working her way up from fund manager to CEO of the UK Institutional Business.

After almost two decades, Sarah left to follow a series of interests in pensions, wealth management and investment management. Sarah has an incredible track record, working with some of financial services' major organisations including as Chair of St James’s Place, Chair of Association of Investment Companies and Chair of John Lewis Partnership Pensions Trust. She's also had considerable involvement with charitable and not-for-profit organisations such as Cancer Research Trust and St Joseph's Hospice.

Sarah also co-founded our pro bono partner, The Diversity Project, which seeks to improve diversity and inclusion in financial services. Sarah now holds a number of senior positions including Chair of Universities Superannuation Scheme Investment Management and Senior Independent Director at Alliance Trust.
