Lansons appointed for National Lottery Open Week Campaign

Started in 2017, National Lottery Open Week is an annual promotion to thank National Lottery players for the £30 million they raise each week for Good Causes. For 9 days (18th – 26th March 2023) participating National Lottery funded venues and organisations across the UK offer free entry or other special offers to members of the public who present a National Lottery ticket. These are from all the Good Cause sectors – sport, heritage, arts, film and community – with past venues ranging from the National Trust and Imperial War Museums to The Eden Project and Wembley Stadium.

Lansons has developed creative concepts to promote Open Week in 2023 and 2024, with the 2024 activity celebrating The National Lottery’s 30th birthday.

The team is led by Sam Sharpe who joined Lansons as a Board Director in July 2021, from Cognito, to build on Lanson’s ESG heritage and help grow its multi-channel offering. The wider team includes recent hires Holly Bibby who joined from Teneo, leading on creative, and Beki Elmer who joined from Grayling, playing a key role on media strategy and implementation.

"The win is testimony of Lansons’ insight led approach and creative thinking. It’s a key moment in achieving our ambitions to support a growing number of public sector organisations in their endeavours to raise awareness for the work they do for the British public. We’ve worked with many treasured British brands and institutions – this is a natural extension of that"
