This weekend, a team of 12 Lansons colleagues will take on an extraordinary challenge: climbing Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, through the night, all to raise money for our Charity of the Year, Bowel Cancer UK

Head torches on, our team will set off at 12:30am, trekking 21km and climbing 975 metres with one goal in mind, reaching the summit in time to watch the sunrise over the stunning Welsh landscape at around 5am.

Why we're doing this

Since our inception, Lansons has donated 1% of its profits to charity every year. Each year, we support a new charity chosen by our colleagues, committing that 1% of profits alongside a calendar of fundraising activities that bring the whole business together.

This year, our focus is on Bowel Cancer UK, a cause close to many of us. Bowel cancer is the second biggest cancer killer in the UK, yet it’s treatable and curable if caught early. Raising awareness and funds is vital in helping to change that.

Our fundraising efforts

Through our dedicated charity committee and collective effort, we’ve already delivered a range of fundraising initiatives for Bowel Cancer UK, from Lansons Lotto and bake-offs to sweepstakes and look forward to our much-loved Christmas Advent Calendar. The Snowdon climb is the biggest challenge yet, and the team has been training hard for weeks to prepare for the overnight ascent.

We’re so proud of our climbers and hugely grateful to everyone who has donated so far. Every step and donation goes towards life-saving research, education and support for those affected by bowel cancer.
