Lansons has supported charities as voted for by colleagues, throughout its 31-year history, with one per cent of profits donated alongside fundraising led by colleagues across the business. 

For the past year, our 'charity of the year' was Centrepoint.

Centrepoint supports homeless young people by providing accommodation, health support and life skills to help them move into education, training and employment. 

Over the year, colleagues across Lansons came together to support Centrepoint through a wide range of fundraising activities. With the support of our volunteer charity committee, these included sleep outs, Movember, Valentine’s Day gifts, bake-offs, the internal lottery and our much-loved Christmas Fair. 

Thanks to everyone’s efforts, we raised £15,000 for Centrepoint. 

To put this into context, £15,000 could help fund accommodation for around 30 young people for a month, or provide hundreds of counselling sessions. 

We are honoured to have worked with such a wonderful charity this year, and know this support will contribute to Centrepoint’s important work with young people at a critical time in their lives. A huge thank you to everyone who got involved, donated or helped organise events. We could not have done this without your time, energy and generosity.

As we say goodbye (for now) to Centrepoint, we opened the vote to our colleagues for our next charity partner. Delighted to share, our chosen charity for 2021 will be The Felix Project.

We have no doubt that the Covid-19 pandemic will bring it’s challenges when it comes to our usual fundraising initiatives – but we accept the challenge and are determined to use our creative thinking caps to ensure we do this charity justice and raise as much money as we can for this incredible cause.
