Most famously, Phelps is known for her contribution to rowing, representing Great Britain in five consecutive World Championships between 1991 and 1995 and in the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games. She also held senior roles at British Rowing for over 16 years as Vice Chair and later Chair, responsible for overseeing safeguarding practices, anti-doping, governance, and equality policies before becoming Vice Chair of the British Paralympic Association.
Today, she is Deputy Chair of the British Olympic Association, President of European Rowing and Co-Chair of the Global Executive of the International Working Group on Women and Sport [IWG], the largest global network for the advancement of gender equality in sport.
Phelps’ experience in driving industry-wide social impact around diversity and inclusion at both a national and international capacity will enrich Lansons’ consultancy in reputation and sport at the most senior level.
